LUCAS, Cora Brown

Mrs. Cora Lucas, 83, of Newton, Ill., a resident of Fountain County for a number of years, died Friday at the home of her son, Paul Lucas, where she had been residing.  She was born northwest of Mellott, the daughter of George and Margaret Rice Brown, and was married to Willis Lucas, who died ten years ago.
Surviving besides the son and three grandchildren, are two half sisters, Mrs. Golda Foxworthy and Mrs. Elva Voorhees, of Hillsboro, and a half brother, Russell Brown, of Evansville.
Funeral service was held at Greenup, Ill., Sunday afternoon with burial in the Fairfield Cemetery.  Others attending from this
area aside from the sisters were: Mr. and Mrs. Earl Summers and family, Mr. and Mrs, Donald Lee Voorhees, Mr. and Mrs.  Harold Lee Williams and son and Mrs. Alta Brown of Crawfordsville. - jz
