LOWER, Robert B. - L-Obituaries

Robert B. Lower of Inverness, Florida, age 65, died Saturday afternoon, June 25, in Marion Community Hospital at Ocala, Florida. He was born at Danville, Illinois, January 29, 1918, the son of Edward and Jessie Dillan Lower. He married Ruth Draper, who survives. An Army veteran of World War II, he had been employed by Hall Freight Line and Meadow Gold Dairy.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Karen Umphenour of Covington and Donna McCool of Rialto, California; four sons, Robert of Fortana, California, Ernest Smitley of Georgetown, Illinois, Robert Smitley of Danville and Rodger Smitley of Fayetteville, North Carolina; a sister, Elata Cannon of Inverness; a brother, Russell of Westville, Illinois; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Barrick and Son Funeral Home in Danville, Illinois, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park at Danville. – thanks so much to S
