Monday, Jan 17, 1921 at 7 a.m. at the Lake View Hospital, Danville, ILL occurred the death of Mrs. Nelson LOUGH, aged 57 years 6 months and 22 days. Viola J. BLOOMFIELD was b. April 25, 1863. She was marr. to Nelson Lough Jan 21, 1880. To this marr. was b. 3 children: Arnett of Phoenix, AZ; Sam and Vona of Colorado Springs, CO. Besides these children there are 5 grandchildren: Oveta and Marvin Lough, Hillsboro, Rex and Max Lough of Phoenix and Wilma Jean Lough of Colorado Springs. She also leaves 3 sisters: Mrs. Charles Deere and Misses Mollie and Nannie Bloomfield of Waveland. Mr. & Mrs. Lough have lived for 41 years of their marr. life in Fountain Co. except for a few years in Col. Springs. Mrs. Lough was converted and joined the Prairie Chapel Christian Church feb 1885 under the ministry of Elder JT Phillips. She has ever since been an ardent worker in all the departments of the Church, being VP of the Prairie Chapel Ladies Aid Society at the time of her death. She will be sadly missed by the Church and community for she was a noble Christian woman, who lived not for herself alone, but was generous, good and kind to everyone. But in the home and in the hearts of the sorrowing family there is a vacancy that can not be filled, for she was a very indulgent wife and mother very earnest in her desires that her children be honorable, just and useful. While it is a painful trial to give a dear one to the Reaper, Death, we also have a firm faith in the immortality of the soul and confidence of God's promises are consoled and can look through our tears to the Life Beyond.
