Mrs. Vona Hendrickson, of Hillsboro, received a message Sunday of the death of her nephew, Max E. Lough, 49, who died at the veterans hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. Sunday morning. He had suffered a heart attack less than a week before and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnett Lough, of Phoenix, who were making an extended visit in Hillsboro were notified of his serious condition and left here last Tuesday to be at his bedside.
He was the son of Arnett and Edna VanDuyne. Lough and was born at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Lough south of Hillsboro Jan. 9, 1908. He was married to Nita McElhaney, of Phoenix, where they have spent their entire married life. They ,owned and
operated the Lough's Flower Shop in Phoenix.
He is survived by the widow, his parents, a half-brother, Marvin Lough of near Mellott; a half sister, Mrs. Oveta Swank Williams, of Indianapolis, and an uncle Sam Lough, of Phoenix. A brother Rex Lough preceded him in death. - jz
