Arnett Lee Lough, 47, of near Mellott, died Saturday (Sept. 16, 1972) at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville, Ill. Born Sept. 29, 1924, near Hillsboro, he was the son of Marvin and Carrie Short Lough. He was married Feb. 8, 1948, at Crawfordsville to Mary Frazee, who survives. Mr. Lough had attended the Hopewell Baptist Church and was a Navy veteran of World War II. Other survivors include his parents; a daughter, Mrs. James (Rhonda) Coplea Jr., of Stockwell; a son, Randy at home; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Mary Jane) McClain of near Newtown and Mrs. Max (Jean) Mitchell of near Mellott; and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son. Services at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home. The Rev. George Phelps officiated. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. - jlr

Mellott - Arnett Lee Lough, 47, a life resident of near Mellott died Saturday morning in Veteran Hospital at Danville, Ill. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII and attended Hopewell Baptist Church at Newtown. He was born near Hillsboro on September 29, 1924, a son of Marvin and Carrie Short Lough. He was married at Crawfordsville on Feb 8 , 1948 to Mary Frazee, who survives. Surviving besides his wife are his parents; a daughter, Mrs. James (Rhonda) Coplea Jr of Stockwell; a son, Randy Lee at home; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Mary Jane) McClain of Newtown and Mrs. Max (Jean) Mitchell of near Mellott and a grandson. He was preceded in death by a son. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with Rev. George Phelps officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro where military graveside services will be conducted. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday. -- kbz
