Frederick H. Lorenz, age 71, at Attica Rt. 2, died at 8:10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at the Community Hospital in Williamsport where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been ill since 1945. Mr. Lorenz was born Aug. 1, 1895, in Burnham, Ill. He had resided in Calumet City before moving to the Attica area in 1946. He was married in Calumet City April 10, 1919, to Orabelle McClanahan, who preceded him in death in 1954. He had been an inspector for the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad for 32 (33) years. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Local 154, Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. Survivors include one son, Fred of Calumet City; one daughter, Mrs. Louis Larson of Attica Rt. 2; five grandchildren, and two brothers, John of Burnham, Ill., and Walter of Dolton. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Lutheran Church in Attica. The Rev. Karl Korbel officiated. Burial, with the DeSutter Funeral Home in charge, was in Riverside Cemetery in Attica. --Typed by Debby Masterson.
