Hillsboro - Mrs. Ruby Florence Long, 76, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday morning Dec 29 1970 in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. A graduate of Hillsboro High School and Indiana State University, she had taught school at Hillsboro, Waynetown and Merrillville. She was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church and the Come Join Us Class. Born May 4 1894 in Fountain County she was a daughter of Alfred and Martha Curtis Keeling. She was married Nov 20 1941 to Walter Francis Long. He died in 1956. Surviving are three step daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Carmen) Gardt of Fort Wayne, Miss Gretchen E. Long of Cincinnati and Mrs. George (Edith Ellen) Foxworthy of Hillsboro; a aunt, Mrs. Wiley (Lillie) Crowder of Waynetown; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hillsboro United Methodist church with Rev. Walter C. Williams officiating. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro.
