ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) — Charles Franklin Long Sr., 73, of Attica Route 2, a resident of Attica the past 25 years, died at 6:20 a.m. yesterday (July 24, 1968) at Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville. He had been a patient there since May 27. Born Nov. 6, 1894, in Foster, Ind., he was the son of John and Polly Dillman Long. He was married Sept. 10, 1920, at Kingman to Audrey Grimes, who survives. Mr. Long formerly was employed at the brick company in Attica and later was a logger and worked in timber. He was a member of the Church of God, Full Gospel, at Crawfordsville, and was a veteran of World War I. Other survivors include a son, Charles of Covington Route 3; two daughters, Mrs. Violet Dalbey of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Frances Rater of Attica; three sisters, Mrs. Della Wilhite and Mrs. Vivian Ratcliff, both of Veedersburg, and Mrs. Mabel Osborn of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Ryan will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, east of Aylesworth. The body is at the funeral home.
