LOCKMILLER Ruth Bacon - L-Obituaries

Ruth Lockmiller of Auburndale, Florida, age 72, died Friday morning, August 26, in the hospital at Winter Haven, Florida. She was born at Newtown, September 8, 1910, the daughter of Charles and Luella Martin Bacon. In May of 1937, she married Frank Lockmiller, who died in 1956. Mrs. Lockmiller was a member of Auburndale Episcopal Church and was past president of the Florida Federation of Music. She was a 1928 graduate of Newtown High School and attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.

  Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Lockmiller of Fort Myers, Florida; a stepdaughter, Barbara Dean of Louisville, Kentucky; a stepson, J. F. Lockmiller of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; and six step grandchildren.

  Graveside services and burial were Monday morning in Meharry Cemetery at Wingate with Crumley-Williams Funeral Home of Hillsboro in charge. -s-
