LIVENGOOD, Wilson Marion - 1939 - L-Obituaries

Wilson Marion Livengood, s/o Rev. John P. and Martha Keeling Livengood was b. at Wallace, Ind Oct 18, 1845 and departed this life at his home near Bates, Ark Dec 19, 1939 at the age of 94 years 2 months and 1 day.  He was married to Rosanna Ingersoll March 31, 1872.  To this union were born 5 children, two are now living; they are Edward E. Livengood of Illinois and Mrs. Ella Powell of Waynetown Indiana. He was married July 4, 1886 to Emma Baird who survives him. To this union were born 10 children of which 7 survive: Claude B. Livengood, Lentonville, Ark; Archie C. Livengood, Lewis, K s; Mrs. Lela G. Smith, Crawfordsville, Ind; Lelan Earl Livengood,bates Ar k; Carl A. Livengood, Kinsely Ks and Mrs. Lou White, Highland Cal; 38 grandchildren 14 greats and a host of friends and relatives.  Mr. Livengood in early life united with the Christian Church of which faith he maintained until the last. He was a lover of home and children, doing his utmost to promote those interests which he held to be honorable and just. A good neighbor was he, accommodating and courteous a good citizen whom the community will miss very much.
