Funeral services were held Sunday, June 18, at Howard for Ira E. Livengood, age 77, of Silverwood, who died unexpectedly at 11:40 a. m. Thursday, June 15, at the home of his brother-in-law, Ralph Ritter, in Tangier. Burial was in Miller Cemetery with the Watson Funeral Home of Cayuga in charge.  --typed by Walt W

Ira E. Livengood, 77, of Silverwood, Ind., died unexpectedly at 11:40 a.m.Thursday (June 15, 1961) at, the home of his  brother-in-law, Ralph Ritter, in Tangier.
Born June 18, 1883, at Wallace, Ind., he was the son of Samuel and Harriette Roberts Livengood.  He was married April 19, 1921 to Grace Ritter, who survives.  He was a retired miner.
Survivors include three sons, Charles O. of Georgetown, Ora of Frankfort and, Winifred of Tangier, a daughter, Mrs. Loraine Lyday of Wilmington, and three step sons, Forrest McMahan of Florida, Marvin McMahan of Kingman Rural Route and Roy McMahan of Potomac.
He also was preceded in death by a daughter.
Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Howard.  Burial was in the Miller Cemetery with the Watson Funeral Home in charge. - jz
