Mrs. Hester Ann Livengood, 89 one of the oldest residents of the Hillsboro community died at the home of her son, Albert Livengood west of Hillsboro at 3:30 o'clock Thursday morning. Death was due to a heart attack she suffered during the night. Mrs. Livengood apparently had been in her usual good health in recent weeks and had cast her ballot at the polls Tuesday. Born Feb 20, 1851, near Wallace, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Bruner Grimes. She was married in 1873 to Pleasant Livengood, whose death occurred in May 1927. Mrs Livengood had spent her entire life in Fountain County. She was a member of the Prairie Chapel Church. The survivors include two sons, Albert at whose home she died and Winfield of Hillsvale, NJ; a daughter, Mrs. Cora Walker of Williamsport; a sister, Mrs Mary Clawson of Martinsville; a half brother, Ed Grimes of Florida and 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Waynetown Baptist Church with burial in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz

Hester Ann Livengood, 89, died at the home of her son, Albert Livengood, Thursday morning November 7 (1940). She had been in usual health and death was due to heart trouble. She was a daughter of Charles and Mary Briner Grimes and was born February 20,1851 near Wallace. Mrs. Livengood was married in 1873 to Pleasant Livengood who died in May 1927. She was a member of Prairie Chapel church. She is survived by two sons, Albert of Hillsboro, Winfred of Hillsdale, N.J., one daughter Cora Walker of Williamsport; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Clawson of Martinsville; a half brother Ed Grimes of Florida. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church, Waynetown with burial at the Masonic cemetery.

A resident of Fountain county all her life, Mrs. Hester Ann Livengood, 89, died suddenly at 3:30 o'clock, Thursday morning, November 7 1940, at the home of her son, Albert Livengood, east of Hillsboro. Mrs. Livengood resided east of her son until the past several months when she had been making her home with her children, having come from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cora Walker of Williamsport, to the home of her son about October 1. She had apparently been in her usual health and had cast her vote on Tuesday. Early Thursday morning she called to her son that she was ill and die within a few minutes. The daughter of Charles and Mary Bruner Grimes, she was born February 20 1851, near Wallace and was married in 1873 to Pleasant Livengood, who died in Mary 1927. She was a member of the Prairie Chapel church. Grimes of Florida. Her eldest son died in infancy. Funeral service was held from the Baptist church in Waynetown, Sunday afternoon with the Rev. I. C. Offerman, the officiating minister. Mrs. Nellie Grenard and Mrs. Clayton Kenyon with Mrs. M. B. Snyder accompanist, sand "Above the Bright Blue" "Old Rugged Cross" and "Sweetly Resting."
