ATTICA — Edith Jeannette (Anno)
Livengood, 78, Attica, died at 3:50 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 in her residence.
She was born June 30, 1929 in Lafayette, the daughter of Roy and Anna (Anno)
Zick Townsend. James Townsend Sr. was her step father and helped in raising
Edith. She married Dale E. Livengood Nov. 17, 1953 in Williamsport. He preceded
in death July 7, 1988. She graduated from Pine Village High School in 1950 and
had resided in Attica since 1951. She worked in housekeeping for the Pythian
Home in Lafayette and later for Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica. She was
a member of the Pythian Sisters Lodges of Lafayette and Lizton. She was a life
member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of the V.F.W. Post #3318 and American Legion
Post #52, both of Attica. She had been a former member of the Attica Christian
Church. Survivors include: a daughter, Joyce Ann (Ernest) Hollingsworth,
Attica; two sisters, Barbara Walter, Blythville, Ark. and Margaret Little,
Ontario, Calif., six grandchildren, Michael Wurtsbaugh, Edith Rausch, Jessica
Birge, Rhonda, HL and Judith Hollingsworth; and four great-grandchildren,
Timothy Wurtsbaugh, Gage and Jayden Rausch, and Pamela Birge. She was also
preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Pamela Jean Wurtsbaugh; a
great-grandson, Alexander Allen Birge; and a step brother, James Allen Townsend
Jr. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with
Pastor David Adams officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
