Mrs. Alma Linnig, 69, of 5502 Margie Lane, Oak Forest, Ill., died suddenly Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Kathryn Chavez of Rt. 1, Hillsboro, where she had resided the past two months. She was born March 19 1902 at Kokomo, the daughter of John and America Louise Waldridge Scott. She attended school at Alamo. Mrs. Linnig attended the Congregational Church in Oak Forest. She married Edwin H. Linnig in 1944, who survives. Other survivors include the daughter; two sisters, Mrs. Della Cotton of Williamsport and Mrs. Susan Hutts of Kingman; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Fredrick Wood in 1965, a sister and two brothers. Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at the Crumley Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. John Lamb of the Centennial Community Church officiating. Burial was at City Cemetery at 1 p.m. Saturday. thanks Betty D :)

Born March 19, 1902, at Kokomo, Ind., she was the daughter of John and America Weldridge Scott. She married Edwin Linnig in 1941. She attended Alamo schools. Survivors include her husband; the daughter; two sisters, Mrs. Della Cotton of Williamsport, Ind. and Mrs. Susan Hutts of Kingman; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son in 1965, two brothers and a sister. Services were 2 p.m. EST Friday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with the Rev. John Lamb officiating. Burial was 1 p.m. EST Saturday at City Cemetery in Peru, Ill. – jlr
