HILLSBORO — Harry Lambert Linn, 86, 301 S. Epperson Road, Veedersburg, died at 7:48 a.m. Monday, June 7, 1999 in Culver Union Hospital, Crawfordsville. Born Feb. 25, 1913 in Attica, he was the son of John and Bertha Millburg Linn. He married Wreatha Mellott Dec. 25, 1941 in Attica, who survives. He was raised in Attica and graduated from Attica High School in 1931. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Indiana State University and his masters degree from Indiana University. He had resided in Hillsboro since 1941. He served on the Southeast Fountain School Board from 1976-84. He served during World War II in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was stationed in the Philippines as an instructor for plane recognition. He was a member of the Attica First Lutheran Church and had attended the United Methodist Church. He had memberships in the Veedersburg Masonic Lodge 491, Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine, both of Indianapolis; Fern Chapter 194 O.E.S. of Hillsboro; Fountain-Warren County Historical Society; Hillsboro Heritage Club; and Charles Forest American Legion 288 of Veedersburg. He and his wife made several trips to Europe and enjoyed Caribbean cruises. He also enjoyed fishing. Survivors, besides his wife, include: sons, John C. (Carlene) Linn, Lafayette, Robert G. (Jane) Linn, Norman, Okla.; four grandsons; and a step-granddaughter. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday at Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with Pastor Rob Eyman officiating. Burial was in Campbell Chapel Cemetery, near Hillsboro. Memorial contributions can be made to the Indiana Diabetes Foundation or the Coral Ridge Ministries. – jlr
