LINKER, Mable Lucille Sollars

Mable Lucille Linker, 76, died at 7:4 p.m. Thursday Feb 27, 1997 at USMC Logan Campus in Danville, Ill.  Born Aug 12, 1920 at Silverwood, she was the daughter of Roy T. and Olline (Mitchell) Sollars.  She was a resident of the Covington area and graduated from Perrysville HS in 1939. She married Harold J. Linker on Dec 31, 1939 and had resided in Veedersburg since then.  He preceded her in death on Feb 2, 1983. Mrs. Linker was a member of the First Christian Church and had been a dental assistant for Dr. SK Neeley for 20 years before retiring.  She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, playing cards and was an avid Cubs fan.  Surviving are: one daughter, Saundra (John) Olds of Carlisle, PA; two sons, Thomas R. (Susie) Linker and Michael  (Gloria) Linker, both of Veedersburg; three sisters, Ruth Jackson and Anne (James) Songer both of Veedersburg and Bette (Charles) Switzer of Evansville; 5 grandsons, one granddaughter and four great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by four brothers and two grandsons.  Visitation was Sunday at Parham-Shelby Funeral Home, Veedersburg.  Service there on Monday with Joe Sollars Jr and Rusty Anderson officiating.  Interment in Rockfield Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to First Christian Church.   ---transcribed by kbz
