- Hillsboro - May Scerilda Lindquist, 79, widow of John Lindquist, died Thursday. She was born south of here May 30, 1883, to Robert and Lear Myers Miller. She married Mr. Lindquist near Wallace Sept. 6, 1903. He preceded her in death in November 1955. One daughter, Mrs. Ruby Croft of Hillsboro, survives with four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a brother, Robert Miller of Kingman. A sister and five brothers are deceased. Mrs. Lindquist was a member of the Undenominational Church. Andrew Abernathy will officiate at services set for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Crumley Funeral home, where friends may call Friday afternoon and evening. Mrs. May Scerilla Lindquist, 79, died at her home near Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13, 1962.  Death was due to a heart condition.  She had been a life time resident of this vicinity.
Born May 30, 1883 on a farm south of Hillsboro, the daughter of Robert and Lear Myers Miller.  She was married Sept. 6, 1903 to John Lindquist, who preceded her in death in 1955.  She was a member of a non-denominational Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs., Ruby Croft, of Hillsboro; a brother, Robert Miller, of Kingman; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers.
Andrew Abernethy, of Indianapolis, officiated at the funeral service held at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 3 p.m. Saturday.  Vocal numbers were givien by Jean Berkquift, Ruth Ann Leffel and Howard Nussbaum.
Pall bearers were: William Leffel, Dean Harder, James Croft, John Sathoff, Tom Holden, and Jim Mahon.  Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. - jz
