LINDQUIST, Francis Dean

Francis Dean "Pat” Lindquist, 77, of Veedersburg, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 21, 1996 at the VA Medical Center, Danville, Ill. He was born Sept. 7, 1918, in Veedersburg, to Oscar and Sadie (Gilbert) Lindquist. He married Susie Carr Nov. 20, 1945, in Veedersburg. She survives. Also surviving, are: two sons, LeRoy (Becky) Lindquist of Veedersburg and Randy (Brenda) Lindquist of Covington; a daughter, Kathy Lindquist of Veedersburg; one brother, Tom Lindquist of Veedersburg; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. He served in World War II and was the first POW from Fountain County during that war. He retired from Hyster Company in 1981. He was a member of the Illinana Chapter of EX-POW's, Veedersburg American Legion Post 288 and Covington VFW Post 2395. His hobbies were gardening. Visitation was Tuesday at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg. Services there on Wednesday with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment in Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg. – jlr
