LINDQUIST, Charles - WWII

Charles G. Lindquist of Veedersburg, age 70, died Thursday afternoon, March 3, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Danville, Illinois. He was born at Veedersburg, February 1, 1913, the son of Oscar and Sadie Gilbert Lindquist. October 4, 1941, he married Pauline Crumly, who survives. Lindquist was a member of New Century Church near Veedersburg and a veteran of World War II. He had been an equipment operator and mechanic with Mitchell Construction Company and had also worked for the Indiana Highway Department.

  Also surviving are a son, Bill of Veedersburg; three brothers, Harry of Covington, Francis “Pat” and Tom, both of Veedersburg; and three grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Harry Hybarger and Rev. William Ringgold officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
