Irvin Lindley, seventh child of Joseph & Nancy Lindley, was born in Mill Creek Twp, Fountain Co in on the 17th day of Jan 1854 and departed this life on Fri eve Dec 11, 1925 at the age of 71 years, 10 mo. and 2 days. Irvin's entire life was spent in Mill Creek Twp. The first 5 years of his life was spent at the home of his birth, 3 mi. E. of Kingman. on account of his failing health in 1915 he moved his family to Kingman where he spent the remainder of his life. on the first day of Dec 1881 he was united in married to Rebecca Jane Barker and to this union were b. 3 children, one son and two daughters, Ida LeDora Bonebrake of Sarcoxie, Mo, who is unable to be here Virgil Byron Lindley of Yeddo and Ella Mae Harrison of Fowler, In. To mourn their irreparable loss, he leaves a heartbroken wife one son, two daughters, 10 grandchildren, Glenn, Gorman, Wilma Vera, Hazel, Gladen and HD Bonebrake of Sarcoxie, Mo; Mary Jane Lindley of Yeddo and Fred L and Dorothy Harrison of Fowler, Ind and many relatives and friends. His last sickness was of short during On Wed eve Dec 9 he was stricken with acute pneumonia which was more than his weakened body was able to stand . Fri eve he peacefully slept to await the call of the Resurrection morning. of Mr. L, it can truly be said, he was dutiful husband, a good father a true friend and neighbor. he was a man of a true religious and moral character. he was a man of no bad habits. He had no enemies, a firm believer in the Golden Rule. he has often expressed his faith in his Creator and that he was willing to be the evidence at the Judgement. In 1887 he accepted Christ as his Redeemer and became a member of the Pleasant Grove Church.... funeral services were conducted by Rev. McHargue and Rev. Lashbrook at the UB church Mon morning at 11 o'clock. Burial at Harveysburg Cemetery.
