Henry LINDLEY, son of Reuben and Elizabeth Lindley was born in Orange Co INNov 26, 1830 came with his parents to Fountain Co iN while young; and was married to Margaret Ephlin Nov 28, 1852. To this union were born two children, Theodore and an infant who together with their mother preceded him to the spirit land, Margaret dying April 14, 1871. He was married to Theodocia Cory Boyd, Sept 29, 1872. In the hour of his country's peril he responded to the call for volunteers, becoming a member of Co. H, 63rd Ind Vol infantry with which he continued until failing health compelle dhim to retire form the military service. He was a loving husband, and a kind and obliging neighbor ever ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. For many years he was a member of two fraternities, Mason and Knights of Pythias. He leaves to mourn his departure, a faithful and loving wife, one step daughter, Mrs. James Marshall of Ashland, Miss; 3 sisters, one brother, four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He departed this life at 4 o'clock a.m. Jan 29, 1911 at the ripe age of 80 years 2 months 3 days. (rest too hard to read)
