Mrs. Edith Lindley, 68 died Monday at the Health & Hospital Center at Milan, Indiana where she had been a
patient 4 months. She was born at Covington 2-4-1884 the daughter of James and Iola Paschal Davis. On August 2, 1916 she married Miles Lindley. He p receded her in death Nov 20, 1949. Mrs. Lindley served as
librarian for t he past 42 years at the Kingman Library and as Sunday School Superintendent at the Methodist Church for 17 years. She was a member of Kingman Methodist Church; Pythian Sisters 250; Mary C Smith
Tent no 35, Daughters of the Union Veterans and the WSCS. Survivors include a foster son John Thom as Sowers of Phoenix Az; three sisters, Miss Helen Davis of Danville Ill; Miss Janet Davis of Indianapolis and
Mrs Jenevive DeVore of Lawrenceburg; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Kingman Methodist Church with Rev Sam Phillips officiating, assisted by the Rev Hayes Hendricks. Interment was in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery with the Woodrow Funeral Ho me in charge.
