Mrs. Virgie Stuart Lilly, 59, o,f 904 Derrick St., Attica, died at 9:45 a.m. Monday, March 26, 1962, at the Lakeview Memorial Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient one week. She had been in ill health three years.
Born Jan. 20, 1903 at Yeddo, she was a daughter of Samuel and Daisy Romine Stuart. She was married July 24, 1924, to Earl B. Lilly, who survives.
Also surviving are nine children, Mrs. Betty Martin of Benton Harbor, Mich., Mrs. Armilda Towels of Indianapolis, Mrs. Mary Lilly of Lafayette, Mrs. Geraldine Allen of Attica Route 4, Albert M. of Los Angeles, Calif., James E. of Kramer, Earl H. Jr. of Williamsport and Amanda and Samuel, both at home.
Also, two sisters, Mrs. Vera Lucas of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Mary Shoaf of Coolidge, Ariz.; a brother, Vernon Stuart of Danville, Ill., and several grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of God of Attica.
Funeral services were Wednesday at 2 pm. at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. Raymond Foraker officiated with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. -jz
