Attica—Thelma Ruth Lilly, 77, 507 Summit St., Attica, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 1989 at Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica, where she had been a patient since Oct. 24, 1985.
She was born Nov. 22, 1911 at Covington, the daughter of James and Minnie Pugh Hopper. She had formerly lived at rural Covington and had been a resident of Attica since 1929. She was married May 18, 1929 in Veedersburg to Albert Leroy Lilly, who preceded her in death June 26, 1972.
She attended school at Rabb School and Covington High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Attica.
Surviving are one son, Albert L. (Skip), Route 2, Attica, five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ramona) Peterson, Route 3, Attica; Mrs. Robert (Delores) Truhart, Route 4, Attica; Mrs. Dale (Susan) Sloan, Hillsboro; Mrs. Roy (Anita) Gregory, Attica, and Mrs. Richard (Janice) Waterstraat, Route 4, Attica, two sisters, Mrs. Logan (Anna) Carpenter, Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Pauline Waterstraat, Route 4, Attica; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call from noon until time of service at 2 p.m. at Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Dr. Earl D. Owen will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. – thanks to S
