ATTICA — Funeral services for Earl Lilly, age 65, of Independence, who died at 10:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, were held at 9 a. m. Thursday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church here. The Rev. Charles Remaklus officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery here. Mr. Lilly, who died in the Community Hospital in Williamsport, was born Dec. 18, 1900 in Riverside, the son of Edward and Maggie Harto Lilly. He was married July 24, 1924, at Danville, Ill., to Virgie Stuart, who died March 26, 1962. He had been employed as a welder at Harrison Steel Foundry and had retired four months ago due to ill health. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Survivors include: four sons, James of Kramer, Sam in the Air Force, Earl Jr. of Williamsport and Albert of Los Angeles, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Betty Martin of Benton Harbor, Mich., Mrs. Geraldine Allen and Mrs. Amanda Hale, both of Williamsport, Mrs. Mary Ramsey of Lafayette and Armilda Lilly of Attica; one brother, Albert Lilly of Attica; three sisters, Mrs. Lucilla Smith of Kramer, Mrs. Ann Harner of St. Joseph, Mich., and Mrs. Edna Christian of Santa Rosa, Calif., and six grandchildren. --typed by Walt W
