WILLIAMSPORT — Earl H. Lilly
Jr., 77, 31 Ross Ave., Williamsport, died Monday, June 26, 2006 at his
residence. He was born Feb. 18, 1929 in Attica, the son of Earl Bryan and
Virgie Marie (Stuart) Lilly. He married Elizabeth L. Bowlus in March 1953 in
Williamsport. She preceded in death in 1998. He grew up in Attica and attended
Attica High School. He formerly worked at Paris Laundry in Attica. He owned and
operated Lilly Body Shop in Williamsport, starting in 1964. He was a member of
Eagles Lodge #2596, Moose Lodge and Wabash Lodge #708 F. & A.M., all of Attica.
He was an animal rights activist and generous humanitarian with needy families.
He was an avid reader. Survivors include: a daughter, Sharon L. (Winston)
Lilly-Taggart, Lafayette; two step sons, Sonny (Marilyn) Billingsley,
Williamsport and Larry (Vickie) Bowlus, Veedersburg; a step daughter, Darla
(Dick) Feller, Abington, Ill.; three brothers, James (Carole) Lilly,
Louisville, Ill., Sam (Shirley) Lilly, Edgewood, Ky., and Albert (Peggy) Lilly,
Downey, Calif., five sisters, Betty Martin, Sodus, Mich., Armilda “Lucy”
Towles, Attica, Mary Lilly, Amanda (Jim) Hale, and Geraldine (Earl) Allen, all
of Lafayette; 13 grandchildren, Makenna Taggart and Sunni (Scott). Childers,
both of Lafayette and Courtney (Bryan) Wolf, Indianapolis; Blaine Billingsley
and Bryan (Cathy) Bowlus, both of Williamsport, Curtis (Chris) Bowlus, Attica,
Mark (Lori) Bowlus, Veedersburg, Tammy (Bill) Myers, Terre Haute, Chris Feller
and Sandy Feller, both of Abington, Ill., Rick Feller, Claytonville, Linda
(Kirk) Danforth, Burlington, Iowa, and Michael Feller, Minnesota; 18
great-grandchildren; and his constant companion, “Furball." He was also
preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Steven Feller. A celebration
of his life was at noon Monday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Memorial
contributions are preferred to the Lafayette Humane Society. Condolences may be
