LIGGETT, Leona Shupert - L-Obituaries

Attica - Leona A. Liggett, 77, 102 Suzie Lane, Attica, died at Country Care Nursing Center, Williamsport at 11:30 p.m. Aug 20, 1993 having been ill the past month. She was born near Flint, Fountain County, Feb 24, 1916, the daughter of John and Mary Elizabeth Newnum Shuppert. She was married Jan 17, 1942 in Lafayette to Clarence E. Liggett. He preceded in death Aug 18, 1975. She was raised in Rob Roy and had lived all of her life in the Attica area. She had attended Attica school. She had formerly worked at Markley's Poultry Farm near Attica. She had formerly attended Attica United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge of which she had held various offices and was a member of the Lucky 8 Euchre Club. SUrviving are a son, Norman Liggett, 4 grandchildren and a great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John and two sisters, Eva Clark and Estella Miller. Visitation will be held at Maus Funeral Home, Attica from noon today (Tuesday) until time of service at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Rev. George Weister officiating. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery, south of Attica.  -- kbz
