Hoopeston - Mrs. Myrtle Lewis, 93, a former resident of Hoopeston, died Friday evening (Feb. 24, 1967) in Port Richey, Fla. Born in Covington, Ind., she was the daughter of James and Sarah Hughes Ridge. She was married to Ira Lewis, who preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marie Marley of Port Richey, Fla.; two sons, Robert E. Lewis of Morristown, Ind. and Herbert Lewis, Cantonville, Md. and four grandchildren. Mrs. Lewis, who lived most of her life in Hoopeston, was a member of the First Methodist Church of Hoopeston and Order of Eastern Star 448 KVF of which she was a Past Worthy Matron. The body is being transferred to the Hamilton Funeral Home where serices will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. H. Leland Walls officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. --Typed by Debby Masterson.
