LEWIS, Joseph - L-Obituaries

Joseph Lewis, aged 34 years, 7 months and 20 days, died at his home in Rosedale, last Monday morning after a long illness with the typhoid fever. The remains were buried in the Doty cemetery near the home of the deceased Tuesday, followed by a large concorse of sorrowing relatives and friends. Joe was held in high esteem in Rosedale, he being a member of the miner’s union and a town trustee at the the time of his death. He leaves a wife and little child two years of age and eight brothers to mourn his loss. Joe was the fifth son of Murphy and Maria Lewis and lived all his life until a few years it go in Fountain county. The brothers with the exception of William H. and Bert were present at …….. – jlr
