LEWIS, Caroline - L-Obituaries

Caroline Lewis, 71, RR 1, Veedersburg, died at 11:01 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, at her home.

  Born August 31, 1912 at West Union, Illinois, she was the daughter of Arthur and Nettie Lissick Carpenter. On July 15, 1929, she married Carl Lewis, who survives. She had lived in the Veedersburg area the past 28 years.

  Other survivors include two sons, Allen Lewis of Danville, Illinois, and Gene Lewis of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Melva Moore of RR 1, Veedersburg; a sister, Ona Carpenter of Swartz Creek, Michigan; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Carpenter.

  Services were conducted Friday at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Max Paddock officiating. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery. -s-
