LEMPER, Elizabeth Mary

Miss Elizabeth Mary Lemper, 75, of 310 N. Perry, Attica, died at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 25, 1969) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. She had been a patient there one week and had been ill since 1962. Miss Lemper had been employed in various veterans hospitals throughout the area before retiring and returning to Attica in 1931. She was a member of the St. Francis Zavier Catholic Church. Born Feb. 5, 1894, in Avilla, she was the daughter of Fred and Mary Smith Lemper. She came to Attica in 1901 and graduated from Attica High. She attended Indiana University where she majored in home economics and became a hospital dietician. Survivors include two sisters, Katherine and Genevieve Lemper both of Attica. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank, and a sister, Ann. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Francis Xavier Church. The Rev. Charles Remakalus will officate. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery near Attica, with DeSutter Funeral Home in charge. – jlr
