LEIGHTY, David - L-Obituaries

Funeral services for David Leighty, 90 retired railway employee will be held Friday at 2 o’clock pm from the Weidner Funeral Home with Rev. John A. Farr, of the First Christian Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Old South cemetery.  Mr. Leighty died Wednesday at the Park View home.  He had been a resident of this city 25 years and prior to that in Jefferson a number of years.  He was born in Mellott, Ind May 1, 1848 and in 1870 was married to Ellen Silvers who died in 1897.  Survivors are a son, William Leighty, Frankfort; two daughters, Mrs. Ora Timmons of Hillisburg and Mrs. William Redmon, Frankfort and one brother, James Mellott.   --kbz
