Catherine Jean Leeper, 70, 209 W. Pike St., Attica, died at her residence on Thursday, September 14, 2000. She was born in Fountain County, Indiana, on May 2, 1930. She was the daughter of Arthur Archie and Emma May (Shipp) Leeper. She was a life resident of Attica. She attended school in Attica. She was a homemaker. She was a member and very active in the Attica Christian Church. Surviving are a brother-in-law, Ray McCormick of Odell, Oregon; two nephews, Rick (Mary Lou) McCormick and John McCormick, both of Albany, Oregon. She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor McCormick. A gathering of friends was at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Tuesday, September 19, 2000 from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. Rev. Robert Elness officiated. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Christian Church. – jlr
