LEBERER, Ethel - L-Obituaries

Ethel Leberer of Veedersburg, age 92, died Sunday morning, May 23, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born near Brazil, January 17, 1890, the daughter of James and Rowena Hess VanNess. September 16, 1916, she married Lloyd Leberer, who preceded her in death. A member of Veedersburg United Methodist Church, Mrs. Leberer had attended Indiana Normal College in Terre Haute and had taught school in Clay County before moving to Veedersburg in 1963.

  Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Black of rural Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Herman Baker of Hoopeston, Illinois; a granddaughter and a grandson.

  Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. James Bushfield officiating. Burial was in Osborne Prairie Cemetery near Veedersburg. – thanks to S
