ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) - Owen Leaf, 64, of Prospect Heights, Ill., a former resident of Attica, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 14, 1971) at the McHenry County Hospital. He had been ill six months. Born April 1, 1907, in Attica, he was the son of Gus and Anna Warner Leaf. He was married in 1935 at Covington to Helen Rodgers, who survives and has taught school in Prospect Heights for several years. A resident of the Attica area most of his life, Mr. Leaf moved to Prospect Heights 16 years ago. He had been an electrical engineer and had owned a small factory manufacturing magnetic devices. He was a graduate of Attica High and Purdue University. He also had farmed east of Attica for some time. He was a former member of the Attica United Methodist Church and was a member of Wabash Masonic Lodge 708. Other survivors include two sons, Roland of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Danny at home; two daughters, Mrs. Shari Lee Bolanger of Crystal Lake and Mrs. Judith Ann Leaf of Oswego, N.Y., three sisters, Mrs. Inez Felt, Mrs. Josephine Chumley and Mrs. Margaret Morgan, all of Attica; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Maus Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Bachert will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 5 p.m. Friday. --waw
