LAWSON, Marvin B. - L-Obituaries

Marvin B. Lawson of Rockville, age 83, died Thursday night, November 5, in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. He was born at Harrodsburg, Kentucky, September 11, 1898, the son of Woodson and Lutitia Simms Lawson. December 10, 1920, he married Ruth Stokes, who died March 9, 1979.

  Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Crippin of Georgetown, Illinois, Mrs. Dorothy Jovanovich of Clinton, Mrs. Barbara Burnell of Aurora, Illinois, and Mrs. Martha McIntyre of New Harmony; four sons, Marion of Hillsdale, Billie Joe of Rensselaer, Earl Ray of Idaville and Leland of Covington; two brothers, Bill of Berwyn, Illinois, and Tom of Rockville; 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday morning at Butler Funeral Home in Rockville with Rev. John E. Smith officiating. Burial was in Memory Garden Cemetery at Rockville.- thanks to S
