Perrysville, Ind -- Jesse Cleveland Lawson, 74 died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 1959 at his home west of Perrysville. He had been ill six months. Born Feb 1, 1885 in Parke County, Indaina he was the son of Davis and Ida Haga Lawson. On July 18, 1907 he was married to Goldie Smith who survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters: Mrs. Maxine Southard of Kingman; Mrs. Hester Boyd of Danville Rt 5 and Mrs. Martha Trosper of Perrysville; five sons, Dallas of Milwaukee ; Carroll of Perrysville; Joe at home; Oren of Perrysville and James of Perrysville; 3 brothers, Elmer of Cayuga; Irvin of Danville and Ivan of Perrysville; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Allen and Mrs. Mary Abernathay both of Covington; 16 grandchidren and five great grandchildren. Mr. Lawson was a farmer and had resided in Perrysville 20 years, previously residing in the Covington community. He was a member of Gessie Lodge 3508 Modern Woodmen of america. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home where friends will be received after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Perryville Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Hill and Rev. Glen Ray officiaing. Burial will be at Lower Mound Cemtery.
