Covington - Mrs. Edna May Lawson, 72, a native of Fountain County,died at 7 a.m. Sunday Nov 3 at her home on Perrysville Rt 1. She had been in failing health several years. Mrs. Lawson was born Nov 22, 1895 in Millcreek Township, Fountain County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Suiters. She was married Dec 15, 1917 to Ivan V. Lawson who survives. She was a life resident of Fountain County and had resided on Perrysville Rt 1 for 23 years. Surviving in addition to the husband are: one son, Myron at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Hamm of Mooresville and Mrs. Maude Neely of Wheatfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here. The Rev. James Downey, pastor of 1st Baptist Church, Covington officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Born Nov. 22, 1895, in Millcreek Township, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Suiters. She was married, Dec. 15, 1917 to Ivan V. Lawson, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Myron at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Hamm of Mooresville and Mrs. Maude Neely of Wheatfield. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be a 1 p.m. EST Tuesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. James Downey will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.
