COVINGTON — Bill L. Laube, 62, 702 Constitution Ave., Covington, died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999 in Provena USMC Logan Campus, Danville, Ill. Born Jan. 27, 1937 in Covington, he was the son of Leopold Frederick and Ruth Elizabeth Ferling Laube. He was a life resident of the Covington area and graduated from Covington High School in 1955. He was employed at Covington IGA for 25 years as a stocker. He formerly attended Salem United Methodist Church and was a former member of the U. S. Army Reserve. Survivors include: son, Steven L. (Leigh Ann) Laube, Kingsport, Tenn.; daughter, Kathy L. (Tommy) Snapp, Kingsport, Tenn.; brother, James (Carolyn) Laube, Crawfordsville; three grandchildren; five nephews; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday in Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with the Rev. Ella Nickles officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. – jlr
