PERRYSVILLE, Ind. — Greg J. LaTourette, 60, of Perrysville, passed away at 7:45 a.m. CDT Thursday, March 13, 2008, at the Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System in Danville, Ill. He was born Aug. 7, 1947, in Covington, the son of the late Jean F. and Evelyn M. Ricketts LaTourette. He first married Cheryl Nolan. She preceded him in death in 1995. He later married Wannita Weaver on Feb. 26, 2001, in Henderson, Ky. She survives. Other survivors include: one daughter, Chere (Steve) Sellers of Pine Island, Minn.; one stepdaughter, Stephanie (Tom) Moudy of State Line; one stepson, Charles Bolin Jr. of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren; one brother, Shaun LaTourette of Gessie; and three nieces and one nephew. Greg formerly worked at Hyster in Danville, Ill., and as a correctional officer in Rockville. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. Greg was a 1966 graduate of North Vermillion High School. He was a member of the Perrysville American Legion Post 350, Covington VFW Post 2395 and the HOG Association of Illinois. Greg enjoyed showing his dragster at car shows. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Funeral services: 10 a.m. EDT Monday, March 17, 2008, at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga; Officiating: Pastor Bill Nickle; Burial: Hopewell Cemetery, north of Gessie with military graveside rites by the Perrysville American Legion Post 350; Visitation: 5-8 p.m. EDT Sunday, March 16 at the funeral home.
