Mrs. Ruth E. La Rue, 52, of Henning, died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday (May 3, 1969) in St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been in ill health seven months. Born Sept. 14, 1916, in Illinois, she was a daughter of James M. and Viola Allison Brown. She was married, March 13, 1937, in Sterling, Ind., to Lawrence Carl La Rue who survives. Also surviving are a son, Ronald L. Alexander of Westville; four sisters, Mrs. Onda Isley of Bismark, Mrs. Dean (Wilma) Bodine of Alvin, Mrs. Hettie Marie Contner, Danville, and Mrs. George (Clarice) Pundt of Haward, Calif. Also, four brothers, Herbert Brown and Floyd Brown both of Bismark. Paul Brown of Alvin, and Wendall Brown of Hayward; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She had been employed for 19 years at Hyster Co. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Berhalter Funeral Home, Danville. The Rev. Warren Stueber will officiate. Burial will be in Mann's Chapel Cemetery south of Rossville. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and Tuesday. --Typed by Debby Masterson.
