LARKIN, George

George Larkin, formerly of Kingman, about 55, found Friday evening in his trailer home with a bullet wound in his forehead, died at 1 p.m. Saturday at Vermillion County Hospital, Clinton.  Members of his family, including his wife, Julia, were outside the trailer when they heard a shot fired. They said Mr. Larkin had been in ill health and despondent over business conditions.  Surviving in addition to the wife are two sons, William, now in the U. S. Army, and Robert, at home; a sister, Mrs. Ira Carpenter, Kingman; and two brothers, Ira Larking, Potomac and Harry, South Bend.  Services were at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Christian Church. The Rev. Robert Black officiated with burial in Potomac, Ill.  Mr. Larkin and his family moved a few months ago from Kingman to Montezuma where he was building a locker plant at the time of his death. – S&E
