1946 – Veedersburg – George W. Largent, 82, died at his home here at noon Monday. He had been ill two days and death was the result of a stroke. Mr. Largent was born on March 7, 1864 near Darlington. He was married to Mary Phillips 60 years ago. He was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Peaerson of Wingate; Mrs. Ruby Mains of Danville, Ill and Mrs. Vernon Pearson of Independence; and one son, Virgil Largent of Warsaw. Funeral services were held at Fishero Funeral Home at 1:30 o’clock Wednesday with Rev.
