COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS)— Mrs. Ruth Lape, 91, died Saturday (March 6, 1954) at her home, 921 Third St. The body will be taken to the residence Saturday evening from the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. It will be taken to Benson Chapel, west of Covington, at 1 p. m. Monday for services there at 2 p. m. The Rev. E. E. McConnell will officiate and burial will be in Upper Mound Cemetery. Mrs. Lape was born July 12, 1862, near State Line, Ind., daughter of Zachariah and Elsie Jane Dixon Clem. She was married to Jacob Lape, who preceded her in death, Jan. 24, 1931. She was the last of a family of 14 children. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Jennie Gouty of Danville, Etta Gouty of Covington Route 2, and Rome Lape of Covington Route 2; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters. Mrs. Lape was a member of the Methodist Church at State Line and lived in Warren County until 26 years ago when she moved to Covington. --typed by Walt W
