HEDRICK (CNS) - John Lape, 89, of Hedrick, died at 1 a.m. today (Nov. 19, 1974) at Community Hospital in Williamsport. He had been ill two years. Born April 12, 1885, in Warren County, he was the son of Charles and Eunna Shephard Lape. On Jan. 20, 1907, in Brookston, he married Celia Elizabeth Crowell, who died in April of 1960. A resident of Warren County most of his life, he resided in Missouri six years. He was a carpenter and also had been employed at Alcoa Aluminum in Lafayette eight years. He was a member of the Baptist Church and his hobbies were hunting and fishing. Survivors include three sons, Owen C. of Rippey, Iowa, James Leslie of Van Nuys, Calif., and Paul J. of Gowrie, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Ora (Lillian) Beardsley of Hedrick, Mrs. Orval (Marie) Kemble of Jackson, Mich., and Mrs. Lawrence (Audrey) Kemble of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. James (Florida) Jones of Williamsport Route 2 and Mrs. Lowell (Iva) Adams of Danville, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two infant daughters and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Thursday at the Fisher Funeral Home in West Lebanon, with the Rev. Robert Perskey officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-4 and ……--waw
