Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ludlow, 831 Harrison St., attended the funeral services of Mrs. Ludlow's sister, Mrs. James E. (Rebecca) Lanier, age 45, who was killed in a two-car crash in Memphis, Tenn., early Saturday morning, Dec. 8. Mrs. Lanier and a sister, Mrs. Muriel Peterson, age 50, had been at the home of a friend where they and a number of other friends had spent the evening playing bridge. The two, in Mrs. Lanier's car, were enroute home when the fatal accident occurred. Mrs. Lanier, who was driving, was thrown out of the car. Mrs. Peterson was still in the car injured. Mrs. Lanier was born at Eudora, Miss., and she and her husband would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on New Year's Day. She had visited frequently at the Ludlow home here. Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Berg of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Roebuck of Los Angeles, Calif., and six sisters, including Mrs. Robbye Ludlow. --typed by Walt W
