WILLIAMSPORT — Funeral services for Mrs. Arcelia Lanie, age 84, of Rt. 2, Rossville, Ill., mother of Mrs. Eileen Fix, Willard and Amos Lanie, all of Williamsport, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Rossville. The Rev. Raymond Boyle officiated and burial was in the Remington Catholic Cemetery. The Wood Funeral Home of Rossville was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Lanie died at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the Care Nursing Home in Danville where she had been a patient 16 months. She had been in failing health four years. She was born Dec. 29, 1884, at L’Erable, the daughter of Dalphis and Ocilda Hubert Marquis. She was married Feb. 7, 1905, at Remington, to Fred Lanie who survives. Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: two daughters, Mrs. Ella Sheridan of Milford, Ill., and Mrs. Fix of Williamsport; four sons, Willard and Amos of Williamsport and Ralph and Raymond, both of Rossville; one brother, Ben Marquis of Otterbein; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. --typed by Walt W
