DANVILLE, Ill. — Janet E. Land, 66, Danville, Ill., formerly of West Lebanon, died at 6:26 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006 in Provena United Samaritans Medical Center Logan Campus, Danville, Ill. She was born May 9, 1940 in West Lebanon, the daughter of Samuel D. and Helen (Kennedy) Land. She attended West Lebanon schools. She moved to Danville in 1968. She worked as a cook for Cahill's Restaurant in Danville for 15 years. She was a member of Latter Rain Fellowship Church. She enjoyed going to rummage sales and reading books. Survivors include: a daughter, Patricia L. Foote, Haines City, Fla.; five brothers, Joe (Betty) Land, Attica, Walt (Cindy) Land, Riverside, Roy (Ruth) Land, Danville, Ill., Jerry (Bobbi) Land, West Lebanon, and Larry Land, Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mable (Morris) Giger, Crawfordsville and Sue (Ron) Titus, West Lebanon; three grandchildren, Loyal Foote Jr., Brent Foote and Herbert Foote; and a great-granddaughter, Alexia Foote. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Land, three brothers, and a sister. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Friday in Grady Funeral Home, West Lebanon, with Pastors Don and Chris Prouty officiating. Inurement will be at a later date in West Lebanon Cemetery.
