ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) -- E. A. "Red" Lambert, 61, of Attica Route 1, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday (March 6, 1974) at Williamsport Community Hospital. He had suffered a heart attack at his home shortly before. Born Nov. 13, 1912, at Monrovia, Ind., he was the son of Grover C. and Lucy Whitlow Lambert. He was married July 21, 1940, at Logansport to Marjorie Eldridge, who survives. Formerly a resident of Monrovia, he had resided in Attica since 1937. He graduated from Monrovia High and from Purdue University in 1936. He was a former coach at Attica High for 17 years and was a teacher in the Attica Consolidated School Corporation. He taught agriculture, biology and salesmanship. He had taught a year at Boswell prior to coming to Attica. He was a member of the Attica First United Methodist Church of which he had served on the church board and board of trustees. He had taught Sunday school for 25 years. Survivors also include a son, Tom, a student at Ball State University; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Jane) Decker of Boston, Mass., and Mrs. William (Lynne) Dixon of Rochester, N.Y.; two brothers, Jewel of Monrovia and Clarence of Gosport; a sister, Mrs. Lola McClain of Detroit, Mich.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The place will be announced. The Rev. Vernon Lallement will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Dale Maus Funeral Home. The family has requested any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Attica Consolidated School System, Attica First United Methodist Church or a favorite charity. --waw
