Elmer A. Lambdin one of Veedersburg's best known men died early Monday morning at the Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where had been a patient since Sunday noon. Mr. Lambdin had been in failing health for several months preceding his death. He was prominent in both civic and fraternal affairs and was elected to the Veedersburg town board for two terms on the Democratic ticket. Mr. Lambdin was with the Big Four railroad for 44 years and for the past 31 years served as agent for that company in Veedersburg. He was Sept 28, 1883 at Paoli, Indiana the son of Frank and Hannah Apple Lambdin and was married Jan 8, 1902 to Della A. Wilkinson of Hillsboro. He was a member of the Veedersburg Christian Church and of the church board of trustees and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by the widow and three nieces, Mrs. Marie Hudson of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Mildred Snyder and Mrs. Paul Spragg both of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by a daughter Helen Marie many years ago at the age of 13 months. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Veedersburg Christian Church with Rev. Aylesworth and Rev. Chelan officiating. Burial in the Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown with the Fishero Funeral Home in charge.
